Running Away
My God, Our God. How I long to be with you, to be close to you, and yet you are here. Show me, reveal to me, where I am a hypocrite, where I say I seek closeness to you, and in secret I hide. Funny thing that in secret is where you also rest, and it is in secret where I find you.I don’t know which way to go and I pray that you guide me, that you use me and mold me, allowing my will to disappear before a vision that exceeds what my will sees, what my will who is young knows.
I pray for my family who is fighting, who won’t speak to each other. I pray for mother, for my brother, for my father, and my brothers and sisters. I pray for my divorced wife and for my children from whom I am also separated. I know that all things are possible through you, with you, and us who you have shaped into being.
Show me where I can be cause in the change of failed relationships. As your son, I take responsibility for all that I have created in my life, for all that is around me. You are perfect. Make perfect my imperfections. I thank you for remaining close to me, restoring me day by day, by the hour, each minute, right now.
